The Konica Minolta LS150 and LS160 are luminance meters of 1° and 1/3° acceptence angle respectively and used primarily for measuring the brightness of light sources or displays. The LS-150/160 replace the previous generation LS-100 and LS-110 and offer an enhanced spectral match to the CIE standard photopic observer function for improved measurement accuracy.
The viewing method is designed using an SLR (single lens reflex) system of optics which allows the user to accurately align the center spot in the viewfinder on the target to be measured.
As the Konica Minolta uses a non-contact method of measurement, light sources can be measured from a distance, ideal for example, to measure street lighting which are not the most accessible.
Ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the hand, taking a measurement is simplicity itself, switch on the unit, aim, focus and press the trigger (conveniently placed under the index finger).
Absolute and relative measurements are both catered for as is CCF (colour correction factor), and if you cannot fill the focusing area from your source, close-up lenses are available as optional extras.
OTC is able to supply the Konica Minolta LS-150 / LS-160 including a certificate detailing UKAS luminance calibration.
We also have the previous generation LS-100 and LS-110 meters available from our hire department on short term, weekly or monthly periods.
